This came absolutely out of nowhere. That isn’t to say that there haven’t been theories about the potential to trade LaMelo, but there certainly haven’t been Giannis-esque — or even Jaylen Brown-esque — levels of smoke, and this is the first time there has been any real fire to speak of.
