The Suns' (Not So Secret) Weapon
Come playoff time, the Suns are ready to live and die by KD and Devin Booker's shotmaking.
As many a media pundit will tell you this season, the increase in shotmaking and scoring numbers is either (a) problematic or (b) great for the league, depending on who you ask. Because of that, lots of teams are having to live and die by their offensive prowess, whether it’s the Pacers’ reliance on Tyrese Haliburton’s distributive superstardom, the Mavericks’ need for Doncic and Kyrie to take over at all times, or the Clippers’ desire for consistency from its nuclear trio.
That train of thought brings us to the Phoenix Suns.
Phoenix is currently floating around 5th/6th in the West despite the fact that they have Kevin Durant, Devin Booker, and Bradley Beal. Of course, the latter has had quite a few injury issues this season, but the results still aren’t quite what Phoenix thought they would be. The good part for them is that they have a secret weapon that no other team can match, both in volume and consistency…
