I’m a little late to the party (unfortunately in the sports world, less than 48 hours later is in fact late), but the trade deadline has officially passed! I’m sure many of you have seen numerous articles proposing grades to the trades as if they were schoolchildren, but I’ve cooked up yet another one for you to feast on! However, to get away from making this “just another” trade grade piece, I’ve separated each “major” trade into two different grades:
Short-term Grade
Long-term Grade
By separating the trade grades into these two categories, we can get a better grasp on what each team is really aiming for and why it matters. In a similar vein, I’m going to split this piece into two parts, with two big trades today and two big trades tomorrow. In part two I’ll make comments on some smaller trades as well, but that’s the gist of it. Let’s get into it.
