Show Me The Minutes: The Mid-Season All-More-Minute Team
Possibly the first annual MSAMM Team for good measure
Most people consider the All-Star Break the middle of the NBA season, for obvious reasons. However, that’s not exactly true, as the regular season started on October 29th and ends on April 13th, which is a span of 166 days. Hence, the middle of the regular season is actually on the 83rd day, January 19th.
That means I’m still early — dang.
Anyway, I want to take a look at the guys who, at this point of the season, are desperately in need of more minutes. I’m calling it the Mid-Season All-More-Minute Team, or the MSAMM Team for short, only because I’m terrible at naming schemes and would rather not spend too long coming up with a more creative name. Broken down by position (as per Cleaning The Glass’ phenomenal position data), these players are the ones who have performed oh-so-well in their roles through the first half-ish of the season yet haven’t received the minutes that they should relative to that performance.
It’s somewhat objective, mostly subjective, and is meant to be a fun exercise in who you should be paying more attention to over the next few months, regardless of whether they actually get the minutes they deserve.
