Like Thanos, a Game 7 Madison Square Garden Game was practically inevitable.

Sure, you could say that if the Knicks hadn’t endured an Anunoby injury, a Mitchell Robinson ankle surgery, and myriad other issues, it wouldn’t have gotten to this point. Yet it seemed destined that the NBA’s fiercest 1990s rivalry would return back to its roots, turning Reggie Miller vs. Spike Lee into Godzilla vs. Kong, Brunson vs. Haliburton into Captain America vs. Iron Man, and a Game 7 into Madison Square Garden vs. The World.

However, let’s go against the grain of the inevitability factor for a bit and see who could end up being the surprise hero of Game 7 for both teams. Some are more obvious than others, but with as many injuries and stretches of poor play that both squads have gone through, someone needs to step up and play the hero outside of Jalen Brunson and Tyrese Haliburton. Let’s take a look at who’s up to the task…
