And just like that, the Blazers are interesting again.

After years of being in this weird middle-ground zone, suddenly the Blazers are chock full of interesting datapoints, ranging from some wild defensive switchability to more than one logjam, and the intrigue could only be capped off by the prodigal player returned home.

Many people have gone on to grade the Trail Blazers’ shock signing of Damian Lillard, which brings the ailing Portland hero back to his team for significantly cheaper than what they had for him before. This isn’t going to be one of those pieces, but is instead a conglomerate of thoughts on the Blazers’ decision-making process, upcoming roster questions, and the absolute wild ride they’ve been on over the past 12 to 24 months.

Without further ado, here’s something I rarely ever say: Let’s talk about the Portland Trail Blazers.
